Transforming Lives Through Education in Ambedkar NagarEmpowering children and women in one of Jaipur's most underserved communities.
Ambedkar Nagar is a densely populated slum in Jaipur, Rajasthan, home to approximately 4,100 residents living in challenging conditions. The community faces severe infrastructure deficits, with no access to basic amenities such as electricity, proper drainage systems, or healthcare facilities.

Most residents work in physically demanding, low-skilled occupations—primarily as rickshaw pullers and daily wage laborers. Their grueling work schedules, often extending from early morning to late evening, leave little time or energy to focus on their children's education. This cycle of poverty and illiteracy has persisted for generations, with children and adolescents growing up without the educational foundation needed to break free from their circumstances.

Our Intervention

SAARTHAK Society established a comprehensive educational center in Ambedkar Nagar, creating a beacon of hope in the heart of the community. Our multi-faceted approach addresses not just academic needs but the holistic development of children and women.

Non-Formal Education for Children We provide foundational education in mathematics, English, and Hindi, helping children catch up on basic skills they've missed. Our curriculum is designed to prepare students for successful transition into formal schooling systems.

Women's Literacy and Empowerment Recognizing that educating women creates ripple effects throughout families, we offer literacy programs specifically designed for mothers and young women, enabling them to support their children's education journey.
