About Us
SAARTHAK Society, established in 2007 by Dr. Kusum Sharma, is a non-profit, non-governmental organization registered under the Indian Society Registration Act of 1860. SAARTHAK is dedicated to empowering underprivileged communities through innovative and practical approaches that enable individuals to lift themselves out of poverty and thrive.
The organization focuses on ensuring quality education for children, providing accessible healthcare, and offering training and skills development to the working population in its areas of intervention. SAARTHAK's holistic development initiatives span multiple areas, including education, gender equality, women's empowerment, public health, livelihood creation, research and training, agriculture, and water management.
SAARTHAK’s proven approach equips women, girls, and boys with the necessary tools to improve their own lives, as well as those of their families and communities. The organization's programs prioritize enhancing educational and livelihood opportunities for underprivileged women, adolescent girls, and children from migrant and vulnerable communities. It also raises community awareness on key issues like healthcare, personal and community hygiene, the Clean India Mission, and human rights, empowering individuals to become leaders within their communities.
